The property is situated in the pretty little mountainside village of Clara in the foothills of mount Canigou (pictured above). It is a short drive from the market town of Prades, where the local farmers and artisans sell their products on market day (Tuesdays and Saturdays). Exploring the area is easy as Clara is less than 10 minutes from the main route from Perpignan to Andorra.
Being a small village, Clara benefits from a bakers delivery each day so you can buy fresh crusty baguettes and pastries alongside other villagers. The restaurant in the village boasts a Michelin star and is still affordable.
Accommodation in the house consists of two double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 2 full-size bunks, a large kitchen / dining room / sitting room and a spacious bathroom. The two top floor bedrooms lead onto a large balcony equipped with table and chairs, where you can enjoy the incredible views over the Canigou mountain and down to the Tęt Valley river. In addition to this there is a shady covered courtyard equipped with a barbecue, table and chairs which again overlooks the river and is a great shady place to relax in during those hot summer evenings.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all you would expect from your holiday home, but it is worth mentioning there is provision of a washing machine and large fridge freezer.

from a TV, DVD and SKY satellite system and for those winter
evenings has a fantastic Franco-Belge wood-burning stove…just
the thing to relax in front of at the end of the day!
As well as the spacious accommodation, we have tried to
anticipate all your needs after a full day’s activity. We
provide wood for your log burner and bedding and towels can be
provided on request. All you need to do each day is enjoy
your holiday, relax and plan what you will do tomorrow!

Bookings must be confirmed by payment of a 25% non-refundable deposit. The remainder of the payment must be paid three weeks prior to arrival. Payments are processed via Paypal which allows secure payment by credit or debit card as well as by bank transfer. Other methods of payment available.
Bed linen and towels can be provided €15 per double and €7.50 per single bed.
Guests should normally arrive after 1500hrs. Departures should normally be before 1000hrs. These times can be modified by prior arrangement.
